In a Dark Dark Wood
In a dark dark wood,
there was a dark dark path.
And up that dark dark path,
there was a dark dark house.
And in that dark dark house,
there was a dark dark stair.
And up that dark dark stair,
there was a dark dark room.
And in that dark dark room,
there was a dark dark cupboard.
And in that dark dark cupboard,
there was a dark dark box.
And in that dark dark box,
there was a....GHOST.
I am sure all of us have come across this folk tale sometime in our lives. I like the way when it entices our minds into thinking of a big area to start with and it shrinks down to a smaller and smaller place until the nucleus of it, the subject matter, comes alive… there was a GHOST.
Don’t you think there is a similarity in whatever things we are dealing in, we should focus on the big picture of it first before pursuing the directions we set, of which later breeds into the action plans with the breakdowns of activities to work on until the real thing we are aiming for comes out as a result of it?
I think it does.

Gab,
Basically, I agree with you.
We start from the `overview'& followed by the details. It really helps to ease our mind if we follow the steps esp. in our daily routine. But in real life, I feel that the element of surprise, out of plan & obstacles here & there give us more fun at the end of the day.
Have a good day !
hi Gab,
I thought in that dark dark box would always be GOLD instead of GHOST... hehehe .
You're 100% right.... be an MO first before becoming a surgeon....
have a nice holiday !!
I do agree with you, it certainly does entice the mind and lead it gently until........
hehehehe....buat suspemnce betul la bro GaB ni...
darkkk darkk.....tetiba ke ghost pulak....i was hoping it will end somewhere like ...ermm....more romantics....adoiilaa....mid life crisis kah aku!

Hi Gab,
We must think light, think bright and think BIG. Agreed.
i was actually thinking of the real thing when coming to the 2nd last paragraph...aiya!
ghost of the past?
ghost of the future?
there are ghosts everywhere, not the real scary ones that make you go weak in the knees but the ones that will haunt you forever if you make mistakes along the way and never try to patch things up.
ignore what i said, it doesnt make sense when yr mind's a bit cloudy.
Bagus tul gab relatekan poem tu ngan realiti kehidupan ni. Usually our minds start with thinking big then narrowing it down to the details. Coz sometimes when we start focusing on the details without any care to look at the bigger situation, we will miss the whole picture all together.
Sir,
NI macam statement ala2 reminder to your workers/ teamwork ke?
Boss yang penuh berhikmah yet straight forward.
this talk is aiming at...? assuming this is job related...?
yeah..it is easier to look at the bigger picture then proceed to the smaller ones.. but in anger n when mind is a bit too stuffed out.. u tend to just look at the things in front of u n not able to see the bigger picture..
How true. One must never lose sight of the forest for the trees, so goes the saying.
Have a great week, Sir Gab!
100% agree..we must look at the whole picture first before zooming in each particular detail! It sounds like a serious discussion here...hmmmmm
hi GAB
did you remember ghost story at our hostel many moons ago.
most of the senior tell us junior about 'hatu jepun' wandering at the corridor - what a sight for a 13 years at that time...
takut weh, male gak susun katil pakat tidur sekali. hhahahahha
hmmm....i'm ponding on it...
thinking out of the circle...
.. have anyone seen gab's picture???????.... sell it to me plse...
hehehehehehehe
how i wish my subordinates could have their minds tuned to this concept...
sometimes they couldnt even find that 'dark dark hse' apa lagi la nak keluar ghost
*letih*
kesian la the ghost dok dalam the dark small box. but then again, dia tak de jisim so float around jer in the box, no hal.
